The Minister for Health has received cabinet approval for the All-Party Committee on Health that we proposed earlier this month.
The Minister had made some minor amendments to the Health Motion which was signed by 89 TDs but had not fundamentally changed the premise of the Motion that was presented to Cabinet.
We are delighted to hear that the Cabinet has approved the Motion and we now look forward to it coming before the Dáil and the establishment of the Committee in the near future.
It is a major achievement and a sign of hope that almost every TD in the Dáil shares a similar vision for the future of healthcare in this country, namely a single-tier universally accessible system with an emphasis on primary care.
