Social Democrats TD for Dublin Bay North, Cian O’Callaghan, has called for the public to be provided with up to date information on local outbreaks of Covid-19.
Cllr O’Callaghan said:
“It is vital that regularly updated information on local outbreaks of Covid 19 is available so that people can take additional precautions and measures to protect themselves and their families.
“The number of Covid-19 cases is currently available by electoral division and there is no schedule for updating it. This information was last updated on August 12.
“It is simply not good enough that local communities can only rely on word of mouth and rumours about local outbreaks.
“Fast, reliable and up to date information will allow people to make informed choices about taking additional measures to restrict their interactions over and above the national guidance from the HSE and will help limit the spread of Covid-19 and outbreaks from clusters.”
